picking the Oscars
It's interesting how for the 2nd straight year in a row, the movie that we decided on seeing (at Reno during the snowboard trip), the movie that no one really got, ok the movie where at least one person dozed off in, ended up being a big time Oscar nominated film.
We all thought Babel was pretty fucked up, and that the ending of No Country for Old Men was wack. We did all thought Javiar Bardem was fantastic.
Dec is when all the Oscar contenders are released, and it's probably no coincidence that we were all fatigued and bought tickets for the 12am showing.
4GB of RAM and counting
Vista x64 is much more responsive now, all apps start up lighting fast. Not so sure about game compatibility yet but everything should be shifting towards 64-bits so I'm ahead of the curve.
Stability was a mixed bag the past week so we'll see how things fare. It was a challenging getting my PC just to POST and load Vista... playing musical chairs with the RAM slots. Thought I might have another bad module which would have meant a
third RMA. Ugh.
Probably going to add a 1TB HDD, swap out the video card for an 8800GT, and get a Dell 2408FPW. Then MacBook Pro :)
