Windows Vista quick thoughts
I got this working on vmware today, although I haven't gotten internet connectivity to my virtual machine.
- UI is very clean and looks good, even tho I'm only running Aero and not Glass. Nice new fonts, clearer icons.
- Virtual folders. Basically they keep track of all your data, no matter where the data is located physically on the computer.
- Better search capability, although so far I can only search through user files.
- Metadata is much easier to add. No more right-click > properties. The form shows up at the bottom of the window and you can add info very quickly.
Hopefully more goodies in Beta 2. But the basics are all there and functioning. IE7 is still crap tho. ¶ 6:37 PM
