  Craziness
This is how lucky I've been in fantasy football. If either of the two things below happened, I would have lost my game.

1. My opponent's defense scores TWO points.
2. Eric Moulds does not make that 55 yard TD reception accounting for 13 points all by itself.

I've been squeaking through by the narrowest of margins... this week with Shaun Alexander and Warrick Dunn both on byes, I was extremely vulnerable. Can the luck continue?

  memory lane
Being a semi-gamer, looking at old games that I used to play really brings back memories. I can recall exact moments in the past when I was playing a specific game. NES, SNES, N64, PS, PS2.

A lot of the games have been emulated, and they really bring back the memories. SF2 ... now that was and still IS a classic. I still play it on my laptop today. Back then arcades were starting to boom and even liquor stores and 7-11 had SF2. That's how profitable it was back then. I still remember all the taiwanese hacked versions as well as the ghetto korean PC version that I loaded on my 486. Going to the YAC, seeing someone do a sonic boom from crouch (I didn't know about d/b), ryu's double uppercut (just the simple fierce > DP combo). That shit was golden.

  Kicksology
Nike Shox Elevate
copped for $50

1. They look cool because they remind me of the Air Jordan XII's.
2. Zoom air in the forefoot is a nice launching pad.
3. Mid-cut and won't interfere with my ankle problems.
4. Finally got my beater Shox!

  hmm....
Haven't posted much lately. I'm back in the bay now, two week respite. Although I got assigned to a local project almost immediately. In AZ I was actually getting slightly stressed about work (I know), hopefully this time off will clear my head. There's more to write about this experience, at a later date.

Sticking to the basics for now, but I'll have to spice up my life sooner or later or I'll go nuts. Exercise routine is yielding better than expected dividends :)

- the last two episodes of Lost were a bit weak. The first season had a "OMG WTF NWMF" moment in each episode ... I guess they are going to remedy that by killing off somone.

  random notes
- heading back to the bay for two weeks
- been working out daily to counteract the cheesecakes :/ When I was on the sushi diet I was fine but then I discovered the local Cheesecake factory, PF Chang, etc.

- work is mostly meetings at this point. ugh
- good to have my co-worker back on the project. Everything was getting dumped to me.
- friendster tries to entice me with lots of email announcing features. Sorry, that ship has sailed
- Any Lost is good, even the weaker episodes. Locke and junkie Charlie getting a bit annoying.
- addendum to my previous post about how a computer scientist would be useless on the island. In light of finding out what is in the hatch... maybe he could reverse engineer the code in the computer to find out wtf will happen if they don't press the button.
- basketball is coming back!
- 5-0 in fantasy football, even with no QB and no 2nd WR. Even with Alex Smith almost costing me a game (Indy D scored hella pts)
- going to grab those jeans that don't fit and bring them down to Scottsdale to exchange. Crazy huh. Each GAP sells different types of jeans, haven't found one that does BOOT FIT & CARPENTER.
- Traffic lights in Scottsdale last 10 seconds. And there is a dearth of places to make legal U-turns.
- the Scottsdale effect - sushi joints play loud music and feature platinum blonde waitresses. This isn't Hooters ...

  AZ
The rumors are true, I am now a semi-perminant resident of Scottsdale, AZ. Although I haven't really "been out on the town" yet due to work commitments. Yes there are cacti here, yes I have been pigging out on the caterpillar (roll). The weather is actually not too bad. It does get hot during the day but it's dry heat. Not as bad as that uncomfortable Taiwan heat. A couple nights it was about as cool as norcal. This means that hotels are going to start getting jam-packed and I better finalize my long term plans.

As far as work, it is a big project with a compressed timeline. :/ Big risk, big reward.

You'd think a major pharmaceutical service company would have band-aids lying around everywhere. But nooooo....

I will go people-watching today and enjoy one of my last free weekends.

Why? because wiki is a cool buzzword.
